I have not posted in forever, so I just want to log some milestones that Aden and Trey have reached. Trey turned 4 on May 31st 1012 and since then he has learned to ride his bike with NO training wheels, swim without his life jacket, dive and shower. We could not be more proud of Trey, a neighbor kid had recently learned to ride his bike with no training wheels and Trey noticed immediately. So one day while we were outside the neighbor boy and another kid who is 8 were out and Trey started talking to them, I turn around and the older kid had Trey on the boys bike and Trey just took off. Just like that! He has always been like that, he decides he wants to do something and in no time he does it. This determination will take him far in life. We are so proud of you Trey, remember to be diligent and you can achieve great things. Aden is quite the little firecracker, he keeps us laughing all day long. I cannot believe how his personality has evolved, he went from this mellow fun loving child to this demanding, teasing, little stinker. He absolutely loves Trey, if Trey is doing something Aden is following closely behind. If Trey has a superhero mask on, Aden needs one on; If Trey is wrestling with Junior, there comes Aden. Fortunately for me if Trey will eat his dinner so will Aden but unfortunately for me If Trey wont eat his dinner neither will Aden. One morning when we had gotten up and I had gotten the diaper and wipes to change Aden he laid down and said "No, Trey" you want Trey to change you? "Uh-Hu". So Trey said " Okay big brother will change you" and he proceeded to do so with my help of course. It was so funny, when we are outside and if any of the children around touch Trey's bike Aden will go crazy and start yelling "NOOO, Trey" he absolutely loves Trey. He thinks that big brothers are way cooler than superheros! Junior has so much fun with the kiddos, after dinner we have about 45 minutes before bedtime and Junior will just play with them. They will fight over sitting on his lap, they will run into the bedroom and all three of them will come out with play guns and search for bad guys. We went to the ward camp out last weekend, you would not believe how excited the kids were about the tent, you would have thought we bought them a pony! It amazes me how tired or unmotivated I may feel when I look over and see their smiling faces it makes it all worth while.
The end of July we decided to take a little vacation, we stayed at the Little America Hotel in SLC. It was so much fun just to get away and enjoy our time together. We seriously spent 5 hours a day at the swimming pool, the water was so warm. Trey became so confident in the water, I had been feeling guilty because Trey had asked me at the beginning of the summer to teach him how to swim without his life jacket but every time we went swimming I had Aden and it just did not seem to happen. The hotel pool started at 3 feet so Trey could touch (which he absolutely loved) he would say "can we please go to the big pool where I can touch" This seemed to jump start his love to swim. In no time he was bobbing up and down in the water, then before we knew it he was trying to touch the bottom of the pool.He is such an amazing child I am so very proud of him. He starts pre-school September 10th, I have many mixed feelings about it, on one hand I am excited for all the opportunities for learning and on the other hand I don't want to let him go because it is a sure sign that he is growing up and there is nothing I can do about it. I am so blessed to be able to wake up every morning (even if they sleep no later than 6:30a.m.) with these two amazing kids. They are such a blessing in my life and I only hope I can be a better mother so I can prepare them to face the world armed with knowledge and the love of God. If I am feeling stressed and yell, Trey will look at me and say "Heavenly father wants you to be patient with me". I am so very blessed and with a reminder like that I must get better lol, I love that kid.
I love this post! Thanks for sharing all the boys' special moments with the blogging community. Even if it is only every few months :) We love the Abrahao's!!!
