The Zoo

July 14, 2011. We went to the Zoo over the summer with some friends, looking at the pictures now I can't believe how little Trey looks, he has gone from my super chunky baby to my adorable toddler and now he is my big boy (which he likes to remind me of often). When we went to the Hogle Zoo a lot of their exhibits were under construction so they brought in dinosaur exhibits and Trey could not have been more pleased. He seriously stayed by the triceratops exhibit until we promised there would be more dinosaurs throughout the park. The dinosaurs were amazing! they looked so life like and by the exhibits they had interesting facts about all the different dinosaurs.
Our friends who came to the zoo with us were Aron, his wife Hailey, and their daughter Abbee. They were such a fun family to go with.
My little Trey bear still by the triceratops, it was the only dinosaur that he had to see before we left. Trey is so obsessed with animals, if we could go to the zoo everyday he would never tire of it.
Okay this little exhibit here was quite interesting. see the scary dino there well it happens that it's eyes move and then it spits water at you...Trey loved it!
There is father of the year carrying around my 50 lb. diaper bag and strolling around the baby. Aden was amazing the entire time, he was totally content staying in his stroller and looking at all the animals and people. Junior and Aaron worked for Provo city together so they had a good time together, and Hailey was super awesome so we all had a good time. Aaron did not enjoy having his picture taken, He always tried to hide or do silly things in all the pictures.
Ahhh my little sweet heart trying to pull his socks off....why do I bother putting them on again?
Little Aden and Abee enjoying a nice stroll around the zoo...they were so cute together we had to get a picture of them but apparently Aden could not take the sock out of his mouth long enough to have the picture taken.
One of Trey's favorite animals to see would be the little monkey's. They were quite active that day so Trey was able to see them swinging around and totally enjoyed it. Junior is such a good daddy, Trey just loves him. Junior has been teaching Trey Portuguese and Trey has learned quite a bit. He know at least 3 songs in Portuguese that he just loves singing with Junior.
Such a funny picture all the monkeys were just lying on each-other.
The boys and I. Notice the sock still in the babies mouth...those are some awesome socks to have held on that long. He was definitely going through a "stage".
The Zoo has so many fun places that you take your picture by. This horse was a must for Trey, he has been begging to go horse back riding and asks if we can go back to the red house (Ruth's house that we lived in before moving here). He must remember all the fun things that he was able to do there like, horseback riding.
Taking a break, pretty sure that place was built on a hill that is up hill both ways! It was a very hot day when we went which made Hailey and I wish we had rethought wearing black.
Junior took Trey up really close to the Giraffes while they were eating and Trey though that was very cool.
By the end of our trip Aden had pretty much had it. He did not complain much but after being a angel the whole time he was worn right out. It was so much fun and Trey loved seeing all the dinosaurs which were incredibly life like. It made me wish that they had them all year long, who needs penguins, polar bears, and all other bears right? Arron, Hailey and Abee were awesome company and we can't wait to be able to go again.
