I have been having so much fun with all of the holidays for the boys, It might have something to do with my obsession with pinterest... all those supermoms out there and their amazing idea lol. For Valentines Day this year I filled some balloons up with a few toys (nothing big I got them from the dollar store and seagull book) but I knew the boys would enjoy them. It is so much fun to see how little things can bring so much joy to these little guys.
In th morning the very first thing that Aden went to were the balloons, he loves them! He does not get to play with them very often because they are a choking hazard and Junior is super dad! Trey had a minor obsession with dice. He loved them, he would just sit and play with them. So I put dice in one of his balloons and he loved his sticky hand as well. Trey gets so excited over the smallest changes in the day, he loves suprises and I love to see how happy he gets.
I made pink playdough for them to play with during the day and they seemed to really like it. Trey is so creative, he will sit and build with different things for quite a while.
Aden enjoyed playing with the playdough as well, he did not like to get his hands too dirty in it but he would use the cookie cutters and make shapes. This kid does not like messes, if he makes a mess with his breakfast he says "Mess, Mess" and I have to clean it up immediately. We went to my grandma's house to pick apples and of course as soon as we are seattled he ditches his shoes (My kids do not like shoes or shirts, they would have problems with the No shoes No shirt No service policy) and then he steps in a mushy apple. It was the end of the work for this little guy, grandma came to the rescue and washed his foot off ASAP!
This was my Valentines gift to Junior this year. On pinterest (of course) I saw how to make these huge pictures for $5 so I made one for Junior...I had been wanting one to put in our bedroom so it was a great excuse to make it right? I also made the cards of 25 reasons why I love you and a tie. All in all it was a really great Valentines day Thanks to all the wonderful men in my life
St. Paty's Day
I try to take the kids to the library once a week for story time. Since it was March I had checked out many books about leprachans and St. Patricks Day so Trey was pretty excited for St. Patricks Day this year. We went to a special story time a few days before March 17th and they had a whole program about a Leprachan, Trey loved it, Aden was indifferent. So this year when Trey fell asleep the tricky Leprachan came and had a little fun...he wrapped up Trey's door
He left a trail of specail Leprachan coins...
He left a hat for each of the boys and left his prins on the toilet...I saw this on pinterest but my food coloring did not dissolce very well. It is so fun making the little foot prints of the Leprachan, throughout the day I would do little tricks around the house and have footprints left by the leprachans tricks. The boys had a lot of fun, we had Lucky Charms and green milk (that the Leprachan turned green of course) for breakfast and the kids had fun keeping their eyes peeled to try to catch the tricky Leprachan.
My 26th Birthday
Junior made me my deliciouse birthday cake all by himself I was so impressed. He also asked me what I wanted to my birthday dinner and I asked for his homemade Brazilian Chicken Pot Pie. He worked so hard to make my birthday special for me, he let me sleep in and made me my delicious dinner and cake.
Aden is always sure to bring a smile to anyones face, there is nothing more I could ask for than to be home with my wonderful family eating yummy food with plenty of chocolate cake. Aden is so smart he suprises us everyday! His vocabulary it incredible he can repeat anything that you say and remembers sooo many words. He was eating breakfast and spouted out "Delicious"
And there is our big boy, Trey is so much fun and Aden's loves him! If Junior or I start repremending Aden Trey comes to his rescue. No one but Trey is allowed to be mean to Aden but Trey it seems. These boys are so much fun and I love to see how much they love eachother. The first thing that Aden does when he wakes up is look for Trey and right when Trey sees Aden he runs up to give him a hug and kiss. When Trey started pre-school, when we left him Aden was so upset he kept saying (Trey, home, Trey, home) He adores Trey and Trey takes good care of his little brother. Aden calls Trey "Trey Bear" it must be my favorite thing that he says, Junior's favorite words that Aden says are "Mickey Mouse".
There is my and my little guy on my birthday
And there is the chef that made my birthday so great! Thank you Junior I love you!
