Catch up, catch up so I know that it is now the end of August and I am posting about Trey's 3rd Birthday on May 31st but it must be recorded so here we go. We decided to get Trey a bike for his birthday. We assumed he was big enough to start learning how to pedal, after a few minutes on it he decided that he will learn to ride it when he gets bigger. As of yet he still wont take the time to learn.
There are many things I have learned about myself since this journey of motherhood has begun and one thing I learned was on Trey's special birthday. I learned that I can not work with cake. I watch Cake Boss and have high expectations and visions in my head of what I would like the finished product to look like and it never turns out. I would like to take a cake decorating class since I am not getting anything from osmosis.
Aden when he would sit nice and still in the bouncer. I can't keep him still anymore, but he was my little buddy as we were preparing for our little munchkins party. The weather was not cooperating with us, we wanted to make a trip to the zoo for Trey's Birthday but it was raining and terrible weather for outdoor activities.
Ahh a close up at my "masterpiece" It tasted amazing but it looked less than amazing. Trey could not keep his hands out of it so I guess it was good enough. Because I did a zoo theme I kept telling everyone that I made it look crumbley on purpose for the theme ha ha jokes on them. :-)
Trey not leaving his cake a lone. I pretty much let him at it, there is nothing he could do to that cake to make it look worse.
Mom and dad were going to the romantic get-a-away and we had offered to have Sam stay with us. So they dropped Sam off and wished Trey a very happy birthday
Trey was so excited for his guest. They got a long so well, and Trey loved the entertainment.
Trey blowing out his 3 candles, I can't believe that he is such a big boy! We have just loved having him in our family for these 3 amazing years! We love you Trey and we are so proud of all your accomplishments!
Trey going at his presents, Gianno and Sam were also in the picture anticipating what could be in the bag. Gianno has been to every one of Trey's Birthdays that is amazing because he is always living somewhere different.
Trey teaching Aden how to crawl. We can not keep that child still now, he is into everything. Trey is really good at telling us when Aden is getting into things. We are lucky to have such good boys.
Joel and Aunty Andrea were able to come to Trey's party. Trey loves Joel they get a long so well. He got Trey GI Joes which he has had so much fun playing with. Jackson was not able to make it because the Ashby family were going to their Oregon trip but he gave Trey his first baseball glove and ball.
The glove and ball that we have gotten a lot of use out of. Trey is quite a good base ball player already!
Sam got Trey a bunch of fun things, dinosaurs, sticky hand, and a few other things that Trey has had a lot of fun with.
So excited to open his presents. This is the first time Trey has shown interest in what was inside the packages. Last Christmas we were having to make him open his presents. This birthday he needed little encouragement.
Aunty Erica and Uncle Jeremy came all the way from St. George for Trey's birthday and they got him the awesome Tonka Truck and two super cool super hero four wheeler toys. Trey played with those for quite a while, they were definitely among his favorites.
Enjoying his presents.
Yes he was much more interested in the little bikes than his big one. I hope he shows an interest in riding soon before he gets too big for his bike.
Aunty Erica and Uncle Jeremy doted over the birthday boy all day long. We went to Jumping Jax and let the kids wear themselves out. And then we came back and did cake and ice cream.
After we played around for a while with the new toys, we all just visited
Cathrine with little Aden. My younger cousin just adored Aden and pretty much held him the whole time which made my job pretty easy :-)
There is good ol Gianno throwing peace signs around
We then loaded up and went to Kung-Fu-Panda 2 which Trey enjoyed thoroughly. All in all I think Trey had a pretty good birthday.
