Aden's Blessing, Swimming, and Potty Trained!

March 6, 2011 our little Aden bug was blessed. There he is right before church (our church is at 1:00 pm) So we had plenty of time to get ready.
This is Trey and Aden before getting ready for church. They have so much fun together. Trey has to see Aden right when he wakes up. One morning he woke up and ran into the living room. He sat on the couch for a minute or two then all the sudden he said "Where is Aden" and ran back into the room to find him. Aden just adores Trey, he will sit there watching Trey and laughing at him for ever.
After Aden's beautiful blessing we headed over to the clubhouse where we had a luncheon. In the picture you can find Junior digging into the fruit and my Aunty Karol posing for a pic. She always looks great. We had rolls, chicken salad, meat and cheese platter, fruit platter, potato salad (which my wonderful sister made), macaroni salad, chocolate cake, strawberry cheesecake cake (all made by my mom) and brownies (made by my amazing cousin Erica) I also made a delicious dip and I am going to share the recipe because it is amazing and so healthy.
Black Bean and Corn Salsa:
1 can black beans washed and drained
1 can corn washed and drained
1/4 cup chopped up cilantro
3 tomatoes
1 red bell pepper ( I use 1/2 red pepper and 1/2 green pepper)
1/2 of a onion
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup lime juice
mix it together and pair with some white corn chips= delicious
Some of the kids went swimming and everyone seemed to have had a good time.

Erica and I at the luncheon. It was so great to see her, she and I were room mates in college! It was so nice of them to come all the way from St. George to support us. Thanks Erica I love ya!
And there is our little blessing boy, doing what he does best...being happy! He is such a joy in our lives. I was thinking last night that I could not imagine my life without him...He really came at the perfect time. Junior gave him the most beautiful blessing, the spirit was so strong and he did not cry once. I remember when Trey was getting blessed he cried half way through the blessing.
There is Aden and Aunty Crystal. He sure had fun with her. Aunt Crystal is such a sweet heart, she always comes to events to support our family :-)
Does someone wish he were swimming? Our little Trey...where shall I start with that little guy. He has such a personality. I seriously have to count to ten five million times a day to keep my patience with that little man. He told me the other day "I'm the boss" and I truly think he thinks he is. Wow if he wants something he is sure to let us know... but I just love him to death. He fills my life with plenty of opportunities to practice patience...I love you Trey
Mom and Dad with their two newest grandbabies all tuckerd out. They sure love their grand children. My dad has been coming over on Tuesdays to visit, at first Trey was not very happy to see him but now he gets so excited when "Grandpa comes to visit us". He started calling him "Grandpa Mr. Boyd" it is so funny the new things he come up with.
Some people that came to the blessing. My cousin Becca is the blond and she dresses like a super model (Seriously so beautiful!)
There is my little Trey bear and Joel pretending to be lions. They were so being so good with all the space to run around.
My sister Rachell with her baby Elija and our Cousin Heather at the luncheon so nice of them to come
Some pretty big news: Trey can Swim by himself (with a life jacket of course) but he can totally swim from Junior to the end of the pool. That is the look I got when I told him to smile.
Look how concentrated he is...We are so proud of him...Some more breaking news: Trey is potty trained! He has been since the beginning of March and we could not be more happy about buying less diapers and changing only one child. We really did not even do anything. It was like in a period of three days Trey started saying he wanted to go pee in the toilet and so we took him every time...then he wanted big boy underwear (which quickly turned into boxer shorts). He has not had one accident during the night...we are some pretty proud parents!
He is seriously a little water boy! He loves swimming. After the blessing we decided to take him swimming since he did not get to go during. He did not get a nap so we figured if we took him swimming it would keep him awake one more hour and then he would sleep the rest of the night....we were right!
And there is my man! He is such a great person and a wonderful Dad! Thank you for all you do Junior I love you
