The Living Planet Aquarium

One thing that Trey really enjoys is going to the library and checking out different kits and learning about what the theme is for that kit. This time it was under the sea animals. There was a book about a little boy who went to an aquarium with his big brother, and it went through all the different sea creatures that he got to see. Well ever since we read that book Trey had it in his mind that we must go to an aquarium. So we found the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy and made a trip. May 12, 2011

Uncle Nano was here and we invited Trey's "girlfriend" Eden and her mom Elaine to join us. let me tell you when Gianno told Junior back in April that he was going to make a trip to visit us, Trey would speak of nothing else. He would go down for a nap and when he woke up he would ask if "Uncle Nano" was here. He would go to bed, the first thing in the morning he would ask if "Uncle Nano" was here. So finally in the middle of MAY "Uncle Nano" Arrived. Trey was so excited that his "Friend" came to visit him.

And there he is the legendary "Uncle Nano". He was present when Trey took his first steps (which he takes credit for :-) and has been to every one of Trey's three birthdays. Trey absolutely adores him and Gianno is very good with Trey.

This is the area where they had live bullfrogs and Trey was quite interested in seeing them.

What a kid. He is so fun, he was so excited about all the different things he got to see. He would go on and on about all the cool stuff.

Now here Gianno is asking him to make some crazy deal with him and Trey is explaining why it would not work. These two had way too much fun together.

Elaine and I with the children. It was so much fun to be able to go with friends. Trey loved showing Eden all the neat things. Aden was so good, he barely made a squeak. He is just happy to watch Trey run around and see all the new things. Junior and Gianno were bored after a while but Eden and Trey could have ran around all day.

There is one thing for sure...those boys love their dad. When Junior comes home he opens the door to Trey running up to him screaming "POPPY look what I did today" and Aden clapping his hands saying "Dada" he seriously already says dada.

Trey is so cute, he always wants to hold his friends hands. Eden was a good sport too, she was happy to be lead away wherever Trey thought they should go.

The penguin exhibit was a favorite. Trey could have watched them swim around all day. There they are seeing where they measure up to a penguin. Then they started dancing because there was music. It was seriously so cute to see these two exploring together.

The sharks are behind Trey and Eden and Trey was telling a story about them. He is in this stage where he likes to tell us stories. It is really funny to listen to what he comes up with. He really likes to try to get a scared reaction to his stories, So Junior and I play along. Aden just loves watching Trey, he laughs at everything that Trey does.

Now it may look like Trey is going in for a kiss and she is shrugging away but that is not for many many more years to come....what was really going on: They were looking at the piranhas and Trey was demonstrating to Eden what a Piranha may look like while eating, Eden was then shrugging away. 

Eden, Trey, and I in front of one of the many exhibits that they have. It was such a great kid-oriented place. We all had a great time.

The Octopus was amazing! Can you believe that there a creatures like that under the sea. So the feed him with a Mr. Potato head and the Octopus takes it a part and eats its food from inside...pretty amazing if you ask me.

So Trey got to touch a stingray. They have a touching pool where you can touch the Stingray. Trey loved it!

There is Captain Trey. Junior and Trey were making pirate hats out of newspaper, Junior was giving instruction to Trey and Trey responded Ay Ay captain. it was the funniest thing ever.

And the Anaconda finished this post. It was such a fun trip we will definitely have to go again.
