April 22, 2011 Junior turned 29! I can not believe that when I met him he was 23 and now he is almost 30! So I made this Pepsi banner for him and then started on his request for his birthday dinner which was: Spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, salad, and of course Pepsi.
I tried to get Trey to stand by his banner but he refused so just little Aden was there to get a pic of him wishing daddy a Happy Birthday. Earlier in the day I wrote "Happy Birthday Daddy We Love You" on Trey's white board and sent in to him on my phone, so I guess Trey thought that was good enough.
Look at Aden's little feet, he totally starts rockin himself like crazy! He is such a character, he is doing the funniest things lately: he hates getting his nose cleaned so when we try he starts shaking his head as if to say no, no.
Junior and Trey enjoying their dinner. And a super awesome treat....Junior's mom Terezinha was able to join us (through web cam of course) but it was still so cool!
Oh my goodness look at those smiles...they look exactly alike. Notice Junior's mom on the computer screen...she said she was going to have to go get spaghetti for dinner:-)
Trey learned how to twirl his fork in order to eat his noodles. I use to cut them up for him...not any more my boy is growing up so fast. I was looking at him the other day and he was talking about something or other and I just could not believe that this big boy was my little Trey bear. He is becoming such a smart, funny, enjoyable boy and we love him so so much!
The cake. Let me tell you about this cake...when Junior and I went on our honeymoon, there was this chocolate cake on the cruise ship that Junior talks about to this day. So I thought I would try and make one comparable to that one. So I found a recipe that called for a chocolate cake mix, 1 pack of chocolate pudding, 1 cup sour cream, 1 package chocolate chips, and then a dark chocolate ganoch to top it off....If Junior wanted chocolate I delivered! That was the chocolateiest cake I have tasted. So I get the cake made, It was sitting on the table as I walked my there were little finger prints in it. I knew where they came from but decided not to make a big deal so I continued with the birthday preperations and noticed that everytime Trey wanted by the cake he had to taste the frosting. Kids!
So we put Junior's mom on the big screen in order to sing happy birthday altogether. As Junior was lighting the candles Trey continued to put his fingers in the frosting. We sang in Portuguese first and then in English.
Notice all the finger prints.
The Portuguese version has a lot of clapping. Look how happy Terezinha is...It was so cute to see her interact with Trey.
Trey helped Junior blow out ALL those candles...I don't think Junior could have done it alone because there were so many of them. Just kidding Junior I love you...you still have a whole year before your old:-)
Trey sneaking more frosting...man that kid loves chocolate. Seriously his favorite candy bar is Hershey milk chocolate. He does not mess around with the peanut butter or the nuts he just wants his chocolate fix.
Another picture of Happy Birthday singing
Whats that..is Trey sneaking MORE frosting that's weird.
Trey enjoying his very own slice of cake and Junior enjoying his entire cake! He said he liked it...I still think he yearns for the cruise cake.
Junior and Trey
Look at the chocolate face. He seriously loved that cake, he would have eaten it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if we would have let him.
Happy Birthday Junior I hope that you had a great 29th birthday! We love you!
Easter Fun! So we thought we would get into the spirit of Easter so for refreshments after family night we made bunny cupcakes. A friend of mine made these and I saw a picture of them on FB since I was doing a Easter themed family night I thought they would be perfect. For Family night, the answers to the questions I asked I hid around the room in Easter Eggs and Trey absolutely loved it. He enjoyed it so much he asked if he could find more eggs.
So there is our Easter bunny cupcakes. It was a hit if I do say so myself:-)
All three of my boys. I love them so much! Look how much Aden loves his dad. It is so funny, he will look at Junior almost laughing and wait for Junior to do something funny and bust out laughing.
Easter Crafts. I found this craft online so we tried it out and Trey thought it was awesome. I have to share this, I took Trey to the playground and there was a women there that was obviously pregnant . Trey goes up to the woman and says: You have a baby in your tummy woman: yes Trey: You have to go to the doctor to take that baby out you know. I thought that was so funny, he was telling her matter of factly what she needed to do to get that baby out.
When we make crafts Trey gets so excited when Junior walks in the door and runs over to show him what he made. Such a proud boy of a bunny.
Coloring of the eggs. I have to ask myself why on earth do we do this every year. I guess because the children so enjoy it. So I will continue to deal with the mess every year, and green hands for the weeks afterward.
Andrea and Joel were here to color eggs with us. They were quite cute, they shared the colors really well and were very happy to be able to color eath others eggs that had already been colored.
Trey coloring his eggs. Junior and Trey went with Brian to a farm where he took Trey and helped him find an egg in the chicken coop. Let me tell you, he was loving up on that egg until the day he broke it. He would put it in the fridge and then check on it every hour. He would carry it around with him until I made him put it back in the fridge. Carol told me I should have hard boiled it, it would have had a longer life expectancy but it broke before I had talked to he and got the idea...dang it.
The beginning of the colored hands. It did not take too long to ditch the spoon and use the hands. It took many washings to make the hands back to normal.
And my little Aden Bug just sat there happy to be a part of it. He learned how to take his socks off...here we go, the war on keeping socks on begins.
Joel is such a cutie and enjoyed coloring his eggs very much!
Our ward had a Easter Egg hunt, so we took Trey to gather him so eggs. It was pretty cold at 8:30am so he was all geared up to go. I have more pictures of the Easter egg hunt that I will post later but for now enjoy!
YOu are such a great wife and mommy! Look at all the fun things you do for Junior and your cute boys! I love it! I love that Trey loves chocolate and doing crafts! I need to start doing crafts with Daci. How fun!
